En Reposo

Strolling along the back alleys of Barcelona, I stumbled upon this scene of an elderly man stopping for a minute to catch his breath on this warm, late summer day. I knew I had to capture it right away. There’s a sense of serenity and peacefulness in this image amidst the construction happening beyond. It’s not that often that one stumbles upon a chance like this. I love the colors against the darkening alley. It helps frame the composition perfectly. When a scene speaks to you, capture it, freeze time, and share the emotions with the world.

I truly believe that sometimes, we’re only given mere seconds to capture a shot that resonates the passion we all enjoy.

Thanks Jamie! It was a split second decision to take this shot as my wife and I passed through this little alley.

This is a really moving photo. There is so much subtle layering and you can almost feel the humidity.

Thanks Djaya! Melissa saw this image as soon as it was posted and said “I didn’t even see you set up for this shot”. It was that quick. I love this shot as well!
