Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Just because it’s Thanksgiving doesn’t mean we won’t have a Darkroom update.
First introduced in September, I really hope that this compact camera is launched sometime in the next couple of years. Imagine the possibilities of this camera. This particular camera has a 4K sensor capable of capturing video at 60 frames per second with a resolution of 7680 x 4320. The highest resolution hdSLR (Canon 5D Mark II) in the market captures a movie recording at full HD at 1920×1080 and SDTV at 640×480 resolution. The left side of the camera seems to be an integrated speaker and microphone feature.
This camera body is a true pioneer. It completely breaks the mold of how we perceive cameras to this point. It is sleek, futuristic something I would see Mr. Jetson use. It is interesting to point out that the LCD is mounted above the camera and not behind it. At 5.5 pounds, it’s as heavy as most hdSLRs in the market today.
Canon is extremely tight-lipped about the release of this camera. However, one thing is for sure. I’ll be drooling all over this when Canon does release it in the market.
