lightroom: split views

One of the coolest things that Lightroom offers is a Before and After split view. Of all the different variations of the split views, my favorite is still the side by side view. Using the split views allows me to see and compare the original against the developed image. Lightroom allows this to happen because it doesn’t make permanent changes to the file. It’s non-destructive which the one of the best features I like about the program. Lightroom keeps a log of your edits, no matter how much editing you create. And it only applies these edits when you export the image.

Tip: In the Develop Module, you can save a lot of time by pressing the backslash (\) key to toggle between the different split views.
