The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a must see when you make a trip down to Monterey and Carmel. One of the best permanent displays they have is the magical world of jellies. The jellyfish exhibit allows you to enter the realm of these silent and graceful creatures. Here you can observe these jellies dance through the ocean currents of the tanks. On this trip, I decided to use my macro lens (Canon 100mm f2,8) to further capture the delicate details of these animals. The first couple of frames are what we would normally see. The next frames are 100% crops of the actual shot. It’s quite extra-ordinary seeing these animals up close. The last frame I included in this post is of a coral. I just found it so intriguing seeing coral up close and personal.
If you haven’t visited the aquarium, take my advice and go. It’s quite the amazing place where kids are mesmerized by nature and adults are transformed to kids even for just a day.
