Tethering Your Ipad

Are you an iPad owner? Do you have a camera you were wishing you could tether to your iPad for remote shooting? It’s possible but there are a few things you will need:

The process is pretty simple. First, you’ll have to jailbreak your iPad. Then you’ll need to install Wy Wi and Shutter Snitch. It’s unfortunate that I use Canon bodies that only use CF cards. However, if there are folks out there that uses the new Canon 60D, then you’re in luck as these new dSLR bodies utilize the smalled SD cards.

Check out the video here from FStoppers.

Glad you liked it Joey. I found this via Vimeo. I’m a little bummed because it only works with SD card specific cameras so the 5DMkII and the 7D are out. Only the 60D would work but I’m not a big fan of the body construction of the 60D.

I am waiting for the new generation of the iPad though. Melissa already said “yes”.

Hi Rikki,

This is sooo cool! I checked over the forum of eye-fi and some are recommending to use CF to SD adapter but the range is affected. Anyways, this is a good reason why I have to write Santa very soon or perhaps ask him to delay a bit till next month as steve jobs might release an upgrade model of the ipad. :)
